Tasting Room Details

Caraccioli Cellars  offers multiple vintages so our visitors can find the wine that fits their palate best, all the while learning the distinct differences.

Caraccioli Cellars tasting room blends the small town charm of Carmel with a big city contemporary sleek and trendy atmosphere.  Designed by Si Teller, the tasting room boasts a lustrous Perota bar slab, which offers an ideal place to taste through a flight of our wines while snacking on a charcuterie and cheese plate.  Outfitted with dark walls, mirrors, and elegant wine accessory displays, the tasting room also has two additional seating areas which are both also equipped with either chairs or stools.

Due to the intimate nature of our tasting room size we have a group policy for parties visiting us with 8 people or more: Advanced notice is required for groups larger than 8 people. Notice and large group inquiries can be made by calling the tasting room at 831-622-7722

Caraccioli Cellars celebrates the quality of our Santa Lucia Highlands' grapes by focusing on highlighting the varietals. Our fruit centric wines showcase the high caliber of our vineyards, both estate and sourced. Caraccioli Cellars allows the essential flavors of the fruit to boldly shine through the wine, leading to subtle variation from year to year.

Caraccioli Cellars' wines begin in the vineyard under meticulous supervision. Our Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes are hand picked and placed in small totes. By not using large bins we are able to limit incidental stress and pressure on the grape, thereby limiting premature crushing and juicing. These labor-intensive procedures ensure the rich expression of full fruit flavors while eliminating any undesirable notes.  The boutique nature of Caraccioli Cellars enables us to use barrel fermentation for not only the still wines but also the Brut Cuvee and Brut Rosé. Our use of the finest French Oak allows us to round the edge and integrate the flavor profile ultimately deliver a distinctly smooth and supple wine.
